I picked up a bottle of Faustino Rivero Ulecia recently, as I saw someone scored it quite high on Vivino, for €8 in Tesco which was reduced at the time from €15.
Personally, I felt it isn't a €15 bottle of wine. It's a 2015 Reserva and when you put it next to its brother in the Faustino family, the Faustino V. It's not like a Reserva.
It tastes like a young slightly immature wine.
Not much oak for a Rioja Reserva, you will have to look for it. Does this wine need more time in the cask? Maybe. In the bottle? I don't think it will improve.
It's still an alright wine, particularly for the price. I probably won't buy another bottle but as I said it was ok for the price.
